Does it work with my keyboard?+

Yes. Keyko adds sounds to the keyboard you already use. The Chrome extension works on websites and New Tab; the native Mac app adds sounds across your desktop apps.

What can I use for free?+

Try every sound here on the website. The Chrome extension includes Creamy, Deep Thock, Crisp Linear and Tactile Brown, with Retro, Terminal, Midnight and Walnut keyboards. Plus unlocks the complete collection and sounds across your Mac.

One plan for both apps?+

Exactly. Sign in with the same email in Chrome and on Mac. Monthly, yearly and lifetime plans unlock both. If you reinstall, an email magic link brings your plan back—there is no license key to remember.

What about privacy?+

Keyko does not store or upload what you type. Sound preferences and aggregate typing totals stay on your device. Your account and payment details are used separately to restore and verify your plan.

How do I get started on Mac?+

Download the ZIP, move Keyko.app to Applications and open it. Sign in to restore Plus, then enable Keyko in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. Restart if macOS asks. The optional screen fold effect also needs Screen Recording access. This build supports Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.

What is Screen Fold?+

Screen Fold is an optional MacBook desktop effect that follows the lid as it closes and opens. Duo is the default: your desktop stays in place while progressive blur and shadow gently settle. You can also choose Plane, Silk, Shade or Frost, and adjust blur, shading, working angle and smoothness in Settings → Screen Fold. Live tracking requires a supported lid-angle sensor and Screen Recording permission. Frames stay on your Mac. The effect starts off and does not change normal lid-close sleep.

Why might macOS block the Mac download?+

The current download is a beta ZIP containing Keyko.app. It is not Developer ID signed or notarized yet, so macOS may block opening it. Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later are required.

Can I cancel whenever I want?+

You can cancel monthly or yearly renewal from your account. Plus stays active through the period you have paid for. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.
